šŸ™ Blooming in His Timing: When God Pressed Pause So I Could Rise 🌸

Updated: Jul 9

Let’s just say this right from the top: God’s timing is never late—just divine. And if you’ve ever had your whole world slow down just when you thought it should speed up, you know exactly what I mean.

I’ve been quiet for about seven months, and while the world might call that ā€œdisappearing,ā€ I call it divine realignment. Because when God says, ā€œDaughter, sit down. I’m doing something new,ā€ā€”you sit. You breathe. You listen.

And I did.

šŸ’— A Season of Stillness, a Season of Strength

This past year, I had to lay some things down—some plans, some expectations, even some people. Why? Because my daughter’s health came first. Because my family needed me fully present. And most importantly, because God asked me to put Him above everything else.

And when you really say yes to that kind of surrender, you learn a lot.

You learn who’s in your corner…You learn who only loved the version of you that was always available, always pouring out, always "on."And that’s okay.

Some people became family—they stepped in with prayer, encouragement, laughter, and presence. And others? Well... they quietly grew distant. And while that stings, I don’t hold bitterness—just a quiet blessing and a soft goodbye.Because when God prunes, it’s not punishment. It’s to make room for better, deeper roots. 🌱

🌹 And Then, Out of Nowhere… A Boutique Was Born

In that quiet season, I heard God whisper something unexpected:"You’re still meant to create. You’re still meant to serve. Just do it a different way.ā€

That’s when The Rose Drop Boutique bloomed.

Not from ambition—but from obedience. Not from pressure—but from purpose. Not from needing attention—but from a longing to share beauty, healing, and joy with others—on His terms.

I never thought I’d find myself in the fashion industry, curating collections, running drops, and connecting with people through clothes. But here I am—styling others with love, building a faith-led brand, and trying really hard not to keep every dreamy maxi dress that arrives (no promises šŸ˜…).

🫶 Family & Boutique Friends = The Real Treasure

I have to say this from my full, grateful heart: I couldn’t do this alone. So many people showed up in ways I’ll never forget:

  • Mami – for the prayers, the wisdom, the constant strength

  • Isa – my daughter, my why, my miracle

  • Doris – my sister, my voice of reason and laughter

  • My niece & nephew – my everyday sunshine

  • Ivette - my work mom off-course!!!

  • Erica – my sister from another mister, who’s been right there through the hard and holy

  • And our boutique besties, who became true family:@theeclecticclosetbybritt, @mixedreselll, @lilbabecave_closet, @thrifting_with_an_altitude, @primetrade, @yona_style_counsel, @tinkles, @jormck25868, @whimsy_thrifts & her hubby @bucksaw, @ladonnapro, @kcgoldies, @jennyblue23, @vchic02 and so many more.

You didn’t just support the boutique. You supported me. My daughter. Our faith. Our future.

🧠 Fashion Meets Mental Health & Ministry

Out of this same season, God birthed another assignment:A mental health live chat on Whatnot.

I said yes without knowing all the details—but what I do know is this: healing is holy, and sharing your story helps others find strength in theirs.

Helping others talk about what hurts, what heals, and what holds us together? That’s part of my ministry now. And I carry it with honor.

šŸ‘— Now... What’s Next?

Hold onto your ruffled sleeves, because the boutique glow-up is real. This coming week, we’re dropping:

  • ✨ Wide-leg pants for every body and vibe

  • ✨ Flowy maxi dresses perfect for summer Sundays or sunset strolls

  • ✨ Fresh boutique finds

  • ✨ And YES — new inventory from Anthropologie, Free People, and Zara

It’s giving chic with a side of chosen.

šŸ’ž In Closing — Because This Is Just the Beginning

I know The Rose Drop Boutique may look like a shop...But for me? It’s more than fashion. It’s faith. It’s healing. It’s legacy.

If you’ve stayed, supported, shared, prayed, or even just watched from afar—thank you. This is only the beginning, and I believe God’s not done. He’s restoring, rebuilding, and redefining everything I thought I lost.

So here’s to the next chapter—with God at the center, always.Let’s keep growing, glowing, and giving Him all the glory.

With faith, fashion, and a whole lot of love, xoxo — The Rose Drop Boutique
